They are named after the Swedish scientist Gunnar Vannas who invented them in the 1940s. Compared with other spring scissors, Vannas scissors are distinguished by their delicate, thin, sharp tips. These surgical scissors are 9cm long and have 6mm straight blades and sharp tips. The slender, pointed tips allows for precise cutting with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. Choose between straight or angled on the flat blades. Like all spring scissors, these are an excellent choice for left-handed operators, because they can be used ambidextrously. These Vannas scissors are made of surgical grade stainless steel.
