Overview
Multi-Channel Oxygen Meter
- Measurement range of 0 - 100 % O2
- Individual temperature compensation for each channel
- Pressure & salinity compensation
- For use with non-invasive sensors, dipping probes & flow-through cells
This multi-channel oxygen meter is ideally suited for benchtop applications. It is compatible with non-invasive sensors, dipping probes and flow-through cells of type PSt3 (detection limit 15 ppb dissolved oxygen, 0 – 100 % oxygen). Each channel of OXY-4 SMA has separate temperature compensation, so most precise measurements in environments with changing temperatures can be taken. The oxygen meter is USB-powered and operated with the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software, which enables simultaneous control of several devices, so measurement networks can be set up. With numerous features and additional pressure and salinity compensation, the software makes the OXY-4 SMA applicable in almost any application.
Applications
Food & Beverage: Oxygen Permeation Measurement in PET BottlesNon-invasive oxygen sensors measure both in liquid and in gaseous (headspace) phases. They perform through transparent materials up to a thickness of 10 mm and even through slightly opaque packaging. The measurement is carried out by firmly holding the fiber optic probe against the side of a PET bottle where the sensor spot is positioned. Adjustable mountings and bespoke fixtures are available. This system allows even the parallel measurement of different bottles as the fiber can be moved from bottle to bottle. |

Long-term Measurements in SoilPreSens offers dipping probes for oxygen measurement that does not consume oxygen. Due to their small dimensions they do not disturb the flow and mass-transport and consequently display the in-situ oxygen concentration. As minisensors from PreSens are long-term stable they can be implanted in soil for many years! With this new method the process of soil aeration, which is very critical for plant productivity, can be investigated. Dr. Heidi Heuberger, Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany |
