Description
Bone Wax is indicated to control bleeding on bone surfaces. It acts as a mechanical barrier to stop bleeding, exerting a haemostatic function. Made from a mixture of whitened bee wax (80%) and isopropyl palmitate (20%). It is slightly yellowish and has a characteristic bee wax odour.
Contraindication
Do not use where a rapid regeneration and bone melt is required.
Possible adverse effects
May include foreign body reaction with inflammatory tissue reaction or increased susceptibility to infection.
